摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately calculate the quantity of defocusing in lens driving and to obtain high focusing accuracy by finding a range again where a photographic lens is closer to a focusing point when there is time to find the range during the driving of the lens. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of the photographic lens 1, a charge storage type sensor 2, a CPU 4, a driver 5, an encoder 6, etc., and the range finding operation and lens driving are carried out overlapping with each other. Assuming that the calculated position for the quantity of defocusing found from sensor data obtained ina specific storage time corresponds to the equivalent position of the photographic lens which photodetects an optical image on the average of the quantity of light, the motion of the photographic lens 1 is precisely monitored to calculate the equivalent photographic lens position. Consequently, the position of the lens 1 corresponding to the result of the range finding operation which is performed overlapping with the lens driving is accurately found to correct the range finding result with high accuracy.
