PURPOSE:To eliminate an undesired part and to give only a data of a required minimum range to a device of the next stage by applying designation of a desired read range as multi-point input designation, using a picture in a polygonal area formed with points tied with each other as a read range picture and giving to the device of the next stage. CONSTITUTION:The operator designates a desired read range in terms of multi- point (3 points or over) input by a coordinate input section 103 in a picture input device 101. The designated road range is scanned by a scanning section 104 and an inputted binary data is stored in a picture memory 105. A processing unit 102 controls the input processing and the access right of the picture memory 105 is given to a picture processing section 107 through an input processing interface section 106. The picture processing section 107 applies processing such as filling or thinning and line recognition processing to the picture data in the picture memory 105 and outputs the result as vector data. When the designation of the desired read range is implemented by the multi-point input method to a read drawing 201 by the coordinate input section 103, the desired read range picture part 206 is covered with a similar shape. |
