PURPOSE:To detect the abnormality of image forming magnification in an early stage by providing a calculating means which calculates the difference between an original detecting means and formed image detecting means and a deciding means. CONSTITUTION:An original detecting means 28 which detects the length of the writing area in an original and a formed image detecting means 29 which detects the length of the area of transferred paper where the image of the writing area is formed are provided. In addition, a calculating means 311 which calculates the difference between the length calculated from the length detected by the means 28 and an image forming magnification and the length calculated by the means 29 and a deciding means 312 which outputs a warning signal when the difference exceeds a preset allowable range are also provided. Then, the length calculated from the length of the writing area of the original and the image forming magnification is compared with the length of the area of transferred paper where the image of the writing area of the original is formed and, when the difference between the two lengths exceeds a preset allowable range, the warning signal is outputted. Therefore, the abnormality of the image forming magnification can be detected in an early stage. |
