PURPOSE:To obtain a food or drink containing the component of Fomes japonicus and effective in improving the palatability and preservability of Fomes japonicus by mixing powder or extract of Fomes japonicus and powder and extract of bamboo grass. CONSTITUTION:The above powder or extract of Fomes japonicus and powder or extract of bamboo grass can be produced by conventional pulverization or extraction of Fomes japonicus and bamboo grass. The extracted substance of Fomes japonicus and bamboo grass includes extracted liquid and powder or granule produced by drying said extracted liquid. The mixing ratio of bam boo grass to Fomes japonicus is preferably >=20/80. A food or drink liked by everyone can be prepared from the above mixture owing to the above-mentioned characteristics.
