PURPOSE:To facilitate replacement of a propeller boss by providing a means engaging a pitch changing means with a differential gear mechanism, means connecting the propeller boss to the differential gear mechanism and a means mounting and removing the propeller boss, in the case of a variable pitch propeller propulsive device. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a propeller boss 11 being mounted to and removed from a propeller shaft 2, a nut 12, screwed to a thread 2c formed in a shaft end of the propeller shaft 2, is tightened or detached. That is, assembly is performed by fitting the propeller boss 11 to the propeller shaft 2 and engaging a pawl 14b with a pawl 24a of the second gear mechanism 20 constituting a differential gear mechanism 18 further a pawl 11c with a pawl 21a of the first gear mechanism 19. Next, a torque limiter 10 is mounted to the propeller shaft 2 screwing the nut 12 with a spacer 12a interposed. Removal is performed by a reverse procedure. By this constitution, replacement of the propeller boss is facilitated, further when it is replaced, lubricating oil can be prevented from its leakage. |
