PURPOSE:To automatically prevent a vehicle door from colliding with an obstacle by measuring a distance to the obstacle neighboring with a vehicle, controlling an actuator according to the result of the measurement, and driving a stopper for the purpose of a deciding the maximum opening position for the vehicle door. CONSTITUTION:A distance to an obstacle neighboring with a vehicle is measured with the distance detecting sensor 1 of a distance measuring means 100, and the measured result is suitably converted with a converting circuit 2. Meanwhile, a driving signal of an actuator 5 is generated by the operation comparing circuit 3 of a control unit 300 based on a signal from the converting circuit 2 and a feedback signal from an actuator positioning sensor 7 via a converting circuit 6. And according to the signal from the operation comparing circuit 3, the actuator 5 is driven with a drive circuit 4. Namely, a stopper for the purpose of deciding the maximum opening position of the vehicle door is driven with the actuator 5. Thereby the maximum opening position of the vehicle door is automatically limited in accordance to the distance to the obstacle. |
