PURPOSE:To secure good starting performance even through combination has varied due to miswiring by setting the impedance values of two parallelly connected impedance elements differently large and small, and by setting the impedance value of the other one element approx. the same as the impedance value of an element on the balancer side. CONSTITUTION:The impedance values of two impedance elements Z1, Z2, which are connected parallelly with those FL1, FL2 in series connection of three discharge lamps FL1-FL3, are set differently large and small, while the impedance value of the impedance element Z3 in parallel connection with the other discharge lamp FL3 shall be set approx. the same as the impedance value of the impedance element Z1 to be put in parallel connection with that FL1 of the two discharge lamps FL1, FL2 which is situated on the balancer BL side. This permits the impedance values to keep their different relation large and small even in case miswiring has varied combination of the discharge lamps FL1-FL3, which should become in series connected condition, and thus good starting performance will be secured. |
