PURPOSE:To eliminate useless time and to easily manufacture an electrode correctly profiling to the complicated grinding face shape of a forming grindstone by performing only the cutting of an electrode plate in the former half of a stage, forming the end face thereof by grinding in the shape profiling to a grinding face and continuously translating to dressing at the latter half continued thereto. CONSTITUTION:The blank stock of an electrode plate 2 is a metal long plate on which any working is not executed, this is fixed to the electrode installing position and an upper end face 21 is cut by a grindstone 1 in the state of stopping electrification. With further cutting this upper end face 21 is ground in the shape correctly profiling to a grinding face 1a, and when electrification is started to the electrode plate 2 now, a flow type chip is uniformly generated over the whole face of the grinding face 1a from the end face 21 coming into contact therewith according to the cutting of the grindstone 1 and a uniform dressing is executed. |
