PURPOSE:To obtain a thrombolytic protein having remarkably prolonged half-life in blood by modifying an amino acid sequence contained in K1 domain in a human tissual plasminogen activating factor to a specified amino acid sequence. CONSTITUTION:A protein having a sequence expressed by the formula (the amino acid sequence from the 137th to the 527th residues is omitted; R is absent or Met.AsP.Ala.Met.Lys.Arg.Gly.Leu.Cys.Cys.Val.Leu.Leu.Cys.Gly.Ala.Val.Ph e.Val.Ser.Pro.Ser.Gln.Glu.Ile.His.Ala.Arg.Phe.Arg.Arg.Gly.Ala.Arg.Gly. Ala.Arg.Met or Met.Gly.Ala.Arg;the 104th X is absent or one optinal amino acid in natural amino acid except Trp, Arg, Pro or His) is converted into a thrombolytic protein.
