PURPOSE: To inhibit the decomposition of decenoic acid as well as to prevent browning by mixing raw royal jelly with an extract of Brazilian ginseng. CONSTITUTION: Raw royal jelly is mixed with >=5wt.%, preferably >=20wt.% (on dry basis) extract of Brazilian ginseng obtd. by extraction with ethanol and then freeze drying to <=3% water content is carried out if necessary. The Brazilian ginseng is a plant belonging to the genus pfaffia of Amaranthaceae. By this method browning and degeneration are prevented at room temp. over 1-2 years. |
