<p>PURPOSE:To make exact measurement by irradiating an object to be measured, such as food, with the wavelength light of the absorption band of the fat-component, measuring the attenuation quantity of the returned light and analyzing the fat-component content, then varying the wavelength of the projected light from the wavelength of the absorption band of hemoglobin at this time at the time of measuring the fat-component included in the object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The light from a main body section 12 contg. a selecting section 13 and a control section 14 is sent to a light irradiation section 11. The light having the reference wavelength and absorption wavelength of the fat-component is generated from the light irradiation section 11 at the time of investigating the content of the fat-component. The instrument is constituted in such a manner. An operator operates the selecting section 13 to generate the reference wavelength and absorption wavelength of the moisture from the irradiation section 11 and knows the content of the moisture from the quantity of the returned light at the time of investigating the moisture content first. The quantity of the fat-component of the object to be measured is determined in the same manner in the case of determining the content of the fat-component. The exact measurement of the fat-component is not possible unless the hemoglobin contained in the fat-component is considered at this time. The reference wavelength is, therefore, determined at about 1.60mum and the absorption wavelength at about 1.70mum in the control section 14 by which the influence of the hemoglobin is eliminated.</p> |
