PURPOSE:To early execute restart at the time of OS-down by detecting the OS-down in a central processing unit, and in addition, inhibiting the read-out of the internal state of a peripheral control device when a fault occurs in the peripheral control device. CONSTITUTION:When the OS-down in the central processing part 1 is detected by a fault detection circuit 10, and the fault caused in the peripheral control devices 3,4 by this OS-down is detected by the fault detection circuit 31,41, the read-out of the internal state of the peripheral control devices 3,4 by the read-out circuit 23 of a service processor 2 is inhibited. Thus, since the internal state of the peripheral control devices 3,4 at the time of the occurrence of secondary fault due to the OS-down is not read out, and is not stored, it becomes unnecessary to study and analyze the fault of the peripheral control devices 3,4 at the time of the analysis of the fault of the OS-down, and time required till the restart is shortened by a portion to read out the internal state of the peripheral control devices 3,4. |
