Sweeper/vacuum cleaner of the type which comprises a casing 6, with reservoir 5 for the sweepings, articulated to a false chassis 1 which, amongst other elements, has a centrifugal fan 2 and is mounted in turn on the chassis 10 of a vehicle but which, unlike known machines in which the sweeper unit, located under the chassis of the vehicle, consists of a number of brushes articulated in a complicated manner, since they have to be oriented one against the other in order, without dispersing the sweepings, to guide the latter into the suction conduit, is characterized in that it comprises solely two lateral brushes 23 joined by means of parallelograms articulated to a central nozzle 9 arranged behind them and the said brushes 23 being separated by a longitudinal wall 28 which not only forces the sweepings to be directed towards the nozzle 9 but which allows the use of only one of said brushes 23 in relevant cases, without the sweepings being dispersed. <IMAGE>
