The present invention relates to an anti-theft packaging item 1 comprising a case with a tamper-proof closure, intended to receive a substantially flat article of rectangular general shape, as well as a part 2 forming an extension of the said case, this part being intended to give the packaging item dimensions substantially greater than those of the case, the said case having at least two windows 30, 52: - the first window 30, located on one of its large faces 3, making the corresponding large face of the article visible; - the second window 52, located on one of its sides 5, this window being opposite the part forming the extension, making the corresponding side of the article visible; characterised in that provision is made inside the said case for elastic means for centring and positioning the article, these means being arranged so as to allow retention of the article inside the case, and this despite dimensional variations from one article to another. <IMAGE>
