The thin disc 9 which is secured to the bearing pad 7 rests against a fixed sole 6 whereas between the said bearing pad 7 and the said disc 9 is formed a closed chamber 7a enclosing a captive fluid which holds this bearing pad 7 away from the sole 6, whereas means 14, 15, 20 are provided for changing the volume of the chamber 7a in order to bring about a variation in the relative position of the bearing pad 7 with respect to the sole 6. <IMAGE>
