The wireless detection system comprises a transceiving part which transmits a r.f. field. The batteryless detection labels, each with its own unique code, are situated in this field simultaneously and can be read one by one. Each time a group comprising one or more detection labels is switched off using an algorithmic selection procedure. This selection procedure selects two possible bit values from which the code signals of the various detection labels are constructed. The selection procedure of the various detection labels is started after the synchronisation of the various labels, which is effected by a code from the transceiver. @(6pp Dwg.No0/0).
