PURPOSE:To obtain a film superior in shock strength, tensile elasticity and resistance to tear strength, by a method wherein a composition containing at least 50wt.%, linear polyethylene possessing specific density and fluidity is extrusion-molded and a quenched film or sheet is rolled under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing at least 50 pts.wt. linear polyethylene whose density and melt index are respectively 0.91-0.965g/cm<3> and 10g/10min. or less is extrusion-molded. Then a quenched film or sheet is rolled at rolling magnification of at least 1.5 times in a receiving direction at a temperature of the melting point -70 deg.C - the melting point -20 deg.C of resin. An ethylene homopolymer obtained by polymerizing sole ethylene by making use of a Ziegler catalyst or a Phillips catalyst is preferable as high-density polyethylene. Tear strength of the linear polyethylene consisting mainly of the same can be improved by compounding low-density polyethylene in a ramified state and containing a copolymer with the same. |
