<p>The invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting digital data (M) appearing in the form of a sequence of words. The method consists, (a) in a coding phase, in formulating, from the data, an analogue signal whose period is composed of several fractions of period, each depending on one word of the data, (b) in transmitting this analogue signal, and (c) in a decoding phase, in partitioning the signal into p fractions corresponding to those of the coding, and in analysing these fractions with a view to deducing the sequence of words. The method permits a high rate of transmission for a specified transmission frequency band. <IMAGE></p> |
