<p>1,4-Dihydropyridine derivatives of the formula: <CHEM> (in which X is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkoxy group; and A and B are the same or are different and each is a C1-C4 alkylene group), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are useful as preventive and therapeutic agents in the treatment of ischemic heart diseases and hypertension.</p>
