A dust collecting apparatus for electric furnace includes a working hole (2) and an outflow hole at each side of a body (1). A side ring duct (6) with an air curtain device having a pipe ring for inflowing air is provided around the ceiling (4) of the body. An electrode (16) is inserted into the ceiling of the body, and an economizer (17) is provided between the electrod and the ceiling. The air curtain device is disposed on the upper of the gap, and the side ring duct is connected to a main duct (11) and a rear duct.
