The system is operated automatically according to the approaching distunce of a person. When the person approaches within a certain radius from the fan, an infrared transmitter receiver (1) placed in front of the fan senses the approaching state and turns the fan speed to high. When the person approaches too colse to the fan, it stops the operation. From the start to the stop, the fan speed is controlled according to the approaching distance of the person.
