Method for the establishment of an inverted pilot sequence or a de-interleaving used in a digital transmission, with interleaving carried out with the aid of a transmission register and a pilot sequence. Each part (2 5 1 4 3 6) of the inverted pilot sequence is obtained from the preceding part (3 1 6 5 4 2) of this inverted pilot sequence and of the two corresponding parts (2 6 1 5 4 3, 4 1 3 6 5 2) of the pilot sequence, by recording, in order to determine the k th element of the N th part of the inverted pilot sequence, the rank of the k th element of the (N-1) th part of the pilot sequence in the N th part of this pilot sequence, and by then choosing the element which is located at this rank in the (N-1) th part of the inverted pilot sequence.
