PURPOSE:To enlarge or reduce the end of many kinds of tubes different in diameter to a specified inner diameter and to correct them to true roundness by attaching necessary number of rollers to a turnable and enabling the attached position to move radially. CONSTITUTION:A holder 6 is moved in the radial direction of a turntable 7 by transmitting the rotation of a motor shaft 10 to a screw rod 9, through a beveler 8 and an expanding roller 1 is positioned at the inside of the end of a tube 4. When the tube is fixed and the turntable 7 is rotated, the expanding roller 1 is rotated in contact with the inner periphery of the tube 4. When the turntable 7 is moved in the axial direction to bring it close to the tube 4, the expanding roller 1 moves along the inner periphery of the tube 4 while expanding the end of the tube 4, and expands the end of the tube 4. By this way, stress conditions in the end become nearly uniform over the whole periphery, and the end of the tube 4 is corrected to true roundness by the expanding work. |
