Improved air dryer appts. has closing operation on the part of the exhaust system of a pneumatic device amde only upon the opneing of a purge valve. (a) The air dryer appts. and the pneumatic devices are provided in communication with each other at the outlet opening of the air cryer appts. and the exhaust ports of the pneumatic devices by way of purging passages; (b) there are second check valves on the way of the purging passages in such a manner that its forward working direction may be headed towards the outlet opening of he air dryer appts.; and (c) exhaust valve means having an exhaust valve body are formed integrally with the valve body of the purge valve, and adapted to operated so that the exhaust valve body is opened when the purge valve body is in a closed position.
