PURPOSE:To make the installation of an auxiliary equipment secure and firm for a long period by directly installing the auxiliary equipment through a passing hole of rigid membrane member on the external side face of a skeletal frame which is in one body with a cylinder barrel assembly block. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder block Bc forming the principal part of an engine block E is constituted by installing en bloc a metal skeletal frame 8 in a stereoscopic lattice form on the peripheral surface of a metal cylinder barrel assembly block 7, and bonding, on external side faces 24 along its cylinder axial line on the left and right, rigid membrane members 9 made of a clad material of a synthetic resin plate and a metal plate. A rigid membrane member 35 is also bonded on a lower case CL which is fastened in a way to sandwich that and a crankshaft 3. An installation seat 61 is formed on an external side face of the skeletal frame 8 through a passing hole 6 of the rigid membrane member 9, and an oil filter OF, an auxiliary equipment, is directly tightened on it, so that the installed condition of the auxiliary equipment does not change throughout its use for a long period, and the generation of vibration and noise can be prevented. |
