<p>PURPOSE:To prevent turning-off of a power source from being forgotton and to save the trouble to start a program, read in data, set a page again, etc., at the next power-on time by automatically turning off the power source at the time of not using a device and automatically restoring the system state at the time of turning on the power source again. CONSTITUTION:When the absence of key input is detected for a certain time, the power source is automatically turned off; and when the power source is turned on next, the system state just before automatic power-off is restored. The signal from a keyboard interrupt driver 9 and state information of a flag incorporated in a saving program 5 are referred to execute these operations by the processing of a system boot program 6. Thus, turning-off of the power source is prevented from being forgotton and the trouble to start the program, read in data, set a page again, etc., at the next power-on time is saved in an AC driven personal computer.</p> |
