<p>PURPOSE:To change the use of a function key without updating the program of a terminal machine by updating a function key/picture number correspondence table independent of the picture control program of the terminal machine in accordance with the indication from a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:A function key/picture number correspondence table 16 is provided independently of a picture control program 10. When a function key '2' on a keyboard 1 is depressed after this table is updated, key code '02' is reported from a keyboard control part 14 to a function key corresponding picture number retrieving part 15. This part 15 retrieves the function key/picture number correspondence table 16 in a non-volatile memory to obtain picture number '20520'. Thus, the picture number corresponding to the function key is changed without updating the program in each terminal machine.</p> |
