PURPOSE:To transfer images with excellent hot-pressing resistance and wear resistance and high sensitivity by providing on a support a thermal transfer layer comprising a thermoplastic resin having a specified glass transition point, a coloring agent and an inorganic lubricant and/or a specified organic lubricant. CONSTITUTION:For example, two parts of methyl ethyl ketone is added to a mixture of a methyl methacrylate resin having a Tg of not lower than 70 deg.C, carbon black as a coloring agent and molybdenum as an inorganic lubricant, followed by dispersing in a ball mill to prepare a liquid for forming a thermal transfer layer. The liquid is applied to a polyester film, thereby providing the thermal transfer layer. The inorganic lubricant and/or an organic lubricant is added to the layer, the organic lubricant being one which has a melting point of not lower than 140 deg.C. |
