A rendering material comprises a mixture of plaster and a filler in the form of a rockwool material to which water and, where appropriate, an adhesive material is/are added prior to application. The rockwool material in question comprises small swollen and voluminous granules which are produced from entangled rockwool fibres of relatively great length.
