<p>The apparatus comprises a bottom edge supporting conveyor and an inclined planar supporting wall. The supporting wall is formed along its bottom edge with a plurality of air exit slots, which are arranged in a row and receive air from a fan. Additional air exit openings are spaced a substantial distance above the slots and together with the slots produce an air cushion, on which glass plates can slide along the supporting wall without contacting the latter.</p> |
