PURPOSE:To provide a lead mounting part by partially cutting a metal porous substance by fusion through utilization of laser or plasma, solidifying the molten metal by part of the porous substance, and thereby forming a metal high density portion. CONSTITUTION:Part of a fiber Ni sheet 1 in three-dimensional mesh structure having a porosity of 95% and a thickness of 1mm is subjected to press to turn into a band. This is filled with active substance paste, and in semi-dried condition the surface of electrode and the band-shaped press part are brushed, and upon optimizing the electrode thickness drying process is performed. Then the center of the band-shaped press part 2 in its direction across the width is cut using plasma arc in the longitudinal direction. This yields an electrode A having a high density portion 3 of metal Ni in part of the electrode. Use of this portion 3 to the lead mounting part will increase the welding strength and decrease defects. |
