PURPOSE:To attain balance control even if speakers were in existence at an equal distance even if the distance of them differs from each other by controlling both the sound pressure level and the phase of the output from a prescribed speaker in response to balance control information. CONSTITUTION:When left, right channel(CH) speakers 109, 110 are arranged as shown in figure with respect to a listener 201, the listener senses the sound pressure level from the speaker 110 strongly. When the listener turns a balance control knob 1060 clockwise or operates a left CH key 1065, addresses from address generators 1062, 1068 change as 00H-01H-02H.... As a result, attenuation and delay information the same value as in the address 00H is outputted from the left CH balance memory and the information increasing the both is outputted from the right CH balance memory. Thus, the sound pressure level from the speaker 110 is decreased by 1dB each and the signal output is retarded. When the sound pressure level to the listener is equal to each other, the speaker 110 is equivalent to be arranged at the position 110 shown in dotted lines and balance control to the level and phase is applied. |
