PURPOSE:To read each color of black, blue, red and white and to obtain a high resolution with a simple constitution, by setting each wavelength corresponding to a maximum value of an overall spectral characteristic curve of each luminous flux at short/long wavelength band. CONSTITUTION:A light source 2 illuminating an original surface on a stand 1, optical systems 3-6 splitting a luminous flux from the original screen into two luminous fluxes of short and long wavelength bands, an transmitting the result to CCDs 7 and 8, and a circuit 9 converting a plurality of electric signals obtained from the operation between the outputs of the CCD7 and 8 into signals corresponding to each color, are provided. Further, the relation of 540nm<=(lambda'b+ lambda'r)/2<=600nm and 60nm<=lambda'r-lambda'b<=260nm is satisfied, where lambda'b is a wavelength for the maximum value of the short wavelength band overall spectral characteristics including all the spectral characteristics of the light source, optical systems and CCDs, and lambda'r is a wave length for the maximum value of the long wavelength band. |
