PURPOSE:To obtain a metal catalyst carrier which requires a little manhour of manufacture by placing metal corrugated plates and plain plates together, rolling them to make a circular core section and pressing said section into a flat core section, and fitting ring members to a flat core section and later thermally processing the whole carrier. CONSTITUTION:Metal corrugated plates 35 and plain plates 37 are placed together alternately and these are rolled in the form of circular multiple layers with a core placed in the center to form a circular core section 39. Next flat ring members 33 are fitted to both ends of a flat core section. Next, the whole work is thermally processed in this state and after the process, its surface is processed with the formation of a wash coat layer to make a metal carrier. In this way, the manhour for the preparation can be reduced significantly. |
