PURPOSE:To enable the formation of a hydrophilic colloidal layer by high-speed coating without causing coating trouble and to enhance antistatic performance by incorporating a specified surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A surfactant represented by the formula is incorporated into a hydrophilic colloidal layer on a substrate. In the formula, R1 is 8-30C alkyl, alkenyl, etc., R2 is 1-3C alkyl or H, A is 2-4C (substd.) alkylene, n is 1-200, n is 1-100, Y is H or -SO3M and M is H or an alkali metal atom. A compd. having -C12H25 as R1 in the formula, H as R2, -(CH2CH2CH2O)5- as (AO)n and (AO)m and -SO3K as Y may be used as the surfactant. This compd. may be incorporated into a protective layer and/or an emulsion layer and may be used in combination with an activator and an anti-fogging agent. |
