PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant film enhanced in thermal stability by a method wherein a back coating material contains a modified heat-resistant resin and a modified silicone oil which can form an ion bonding or an ion pair. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer ink sheet, a thermal transfer ink layer is formed on a base film, and a back coating material film is formed on the back of the base film. The back coating material contains a modified heat- resistant resin and a modified silicone oil which can form an ion bond or an ion pair. The heat resistance producing agent (the back coating material) using the modified heat-resistant resin and the modified silicone oil in combination still has the lubricating properties of the silicone oil even after being applied to the film and inhibits the migration of the silicone oil. Therefore, the obtained ink sheet has a stability to long-time storage and is improved in running properties and heat resistance. For the modified heat-resistant resin, a carboxyl- modified nitrocellulose resin is particularly preferable. For the modified silicone oil, an amino-modified silicone oil is especially preferable. |
