PURPOSE:To secure pertinent capacity control characteristics in conformity with the running properties of engine vehicles, by setting up two flow passages different in the position of each nozzle opening leading to a vane chamber, while making effective areas of these flow passages selectable at will, in a rotary compressor. CONSTITUTION:As made known when having an eye to a vane chamber 26a shown in illustration, the influx route of refrigerant into the vane chamber 26a varies, as in illustrations (a) thru (e), with a vane traveling angle theta, during suction stroke. In case of small cars being subject to high duty frequency at low- speed running and especially required to meet low-power consumption, it will do merely in the following way that a spacer 52 which is large in the opening area of a nozzle 54 and relatively small in the opening area of a nozzle 53 is selected. Also in case of large and heavy-duty cars equipped with a large capacity compressor and required to meet energy-saving effects, it is only enough to select the spacer 52 being smaller in the opening area of the nozzle 54 than that of the nozzle 53. |
