PURPOSE:To obtain a lipid ingredient containing a fatty acid and a derivative thereof which are melanization inhibitory substances from a cell proliferated by proliferating an established cell of a warm-blooded animal and use the resultant ingredient as an active ingredient of a whitening agent. CONSTITUTION:An established cell of a warm-blooded animal is proliferated outside of a living body or proliferated while being fed with a humor of a warm-blooded animal other than humans to provide a cell, which is then crushed by a method for grinding, ultrasonic or freezing, melting, etc. The resultant crushed cell substance is subsequently extracted with chloroform, acetone, etc., to afford a lipid ingredient containing a fatty acid and a derivative thereof.
