PURPOSE:To readily control a paper feeder and quickly and smoothly perform paper feeding by providing elevators so as to raise tables based on the fact that a timing means, which starts in response to the fact that there are both output signals from lowering position detecting means and paper detecting means, time predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:When the tables 16 of paper feeders 12, 13 and 14 are located at lowering positions, lowering position detecting means 19 output signals. If there are papers of specified number or more on the tables 16, paper detecting means 17 output signals. In the next step, timing means start in response to the output of both of the detecting means 17 and 19. When these timing means time predetermined time, the respective elevators of the paper feeders 12-14 are controlled to elevate the tables 16 up to the position where paper feeding is possible. |
