PURPOSE:To obtain musical sound data from which nonintegral multiple sound components are removed, to reduce looping noises at the time of reproduction, and to perform looping smoothly by recording musical sound data on a recording medium through a comb-shaped filter. CONSTITUTION:A pitch detecting function block 12 detects the fundamental frequency f0 of an input signal such as a musical sound signal or an input digital signal corresponding to the analog signal. Then, the signal is filtered by the comb-shaped filter 14 whose passing bands are only the fundamental frequency band of the input analog signal and the frequency bands of its higher harmonic components to obtain an output analog or digital signal. The output analog or digital signal is recorded on the recording medium while controlled by a loop section detecting function block 16 so that only the fundamental frequency band of the output analog or digital signal and the frequency band of its higher harmonic components are the passing bands. Consequently, when components in the musical sound signal except noise components are attenuated and looping processing is performed, musical sound data wherein the noise components are attenuated are looped, so looping noises are suppressed. |
