A degreasing cleaning cpd especially for metallic surfaces is a smaller soln of: a) 5 wt% max of a surfactant mixt (HLB 7-9) contg an alkyl-poly-glycol-ether (I) with 2-5 mols of ethoxy gps based on 10-18C satd, or 16C unsatd natural or 9-18C synthetic alcohols and nonyl-phenyl-polyglycol ether (II) contg 10 mols of ethoxy gps. the wt ratio between (I):(II) = 2:1-4:1, and b) 3-5 fold excers of iso-propyl-alcohol-based on (I)+(II)
