PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide sensitive material capable of providing a sufficient picture density and uniform development by performing at least the developing stage in a slit processing passage and providing also a specified silver halide emulsion layer to a silver halide sensitive material to be processed. CONSTITUTION:In a stage of processing a silver halide sensitive material by a process including a developing stage, desilvering stage, washing stage with water and/or stabilizing stage, at least the developing stage is performed in a slit processing passage, and a silver halide emulsion layer comprising a silver halide emulsion contg. >=90mol.% AgCl is provided to the silver halide sensitive material to be processed. The content of AgCl is pref. >=95mol.%, more pref. >=98mol.%. Higher content of AgCl is preferable from a viewpoint of rapidity of the processing. Thus, a process for processing a silver halide sensitive material by the slit development capable of providing a sufficient picture density and generating no unevenness of development is obtd. |
