PURPOSE:To obtain a toner for the development of an electrostatic image having good fluidity and stable charge against repetition of copy by incorporating a fluorinated metal compd. into a toner compsn. CONSTITUTION:A fluorinated metal compd. is added to a developer consisting of a toner and a carrier, particularly to a negatively chargeable toner as post- treating agent. If an average particle size of the fluorinated metal compd. exceeds 1mum, the fixing characteristics of the toner becomes insufficient generating white spots on a picture, resulting a poor picture. The content of the fluorinated metal compd. should be selected appropriately depending on the kind of the toner, additive to the toner, kind of binder resin, or process for development of the toner, etc., but extremely stable chargeability for negative charge may be obtd. generally, if 0.01-20wt.% fluorinated metal compd. is used based on the amt. of the toner. Thus, fluidity and stability of charge of a toner are improved. |
