PURPOSE:To make a solenoid common without adding a valve separately and simplify a device by using only one solenoid common to a plurality of change- over valves and direct controlling the change-over valves of the plurality individually at the time to make them function, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When shifting down to 4-3 daring coast running, in the case of a high vehicle speed, a timing solenoid 60 is turned on by a variable time according to the vehicle speed from the gear shift instant to close a low clutch timing valve 36 in the case of high vehicle speed, and the valve 36 is continued to close on and after the gear shift instant by turning on the solenoid 60 continuously, and the gear is shifted to 3rd step once through 1st step in the gear shift instant in the case of low vehicle speed. When shifting down to 4-3 during power-on running, the valve 36 is opened by turning off the solenoid 60 to operate a low clutch L/C at high speed in the case of low vehicle speed, and the valve 36 is closed by turning on the solenoid 60 by the variable time according to the vehicle speed from the gear shift instant to delay the operation of the L/C so as to time with the release of a band brake B/B in the case of high vehicle speed. Hence, the structure can be simplified. |
