PURPOSE: To measure a liquid containing bubbles easily by subdividing a total measurement capacity into layers, measuring the value of a ratio for indicating the instantaneous ratio of milk/air for each layer, and adding it to a total milk mass. CONSTITUTION: Milk supplied from a supply pipeline 26 is totally gathered at an entrance room 22. At the same time, by raising a piston, a delivery port 27 opens and milk passes through a milk transfer pipeline 28 and flows out of a measurement room. A reference value Io . is measured in a reference measurement path including a liquid whose gas is extracted essentially, a ratio between the value Io and a measurement value Im at its height level or a ratio Cm corresponding to the inverse value of the value is formed for each height level, and a value C' of the ratio that is corrected by 1 for the liquid whose gas is extracted and by O for air is formed. Then, each ratio value Cm or C'm is multiplied by a specific densityρof the liquid whose gas is extracted.
