<p>A method for the manufacture of bound textile sheets, comprising treating a textile sheet substrate with a water dispersion of a mixed polymerizate binder of: (a) 80-99% by wt. of a C1-8 alkyl ester of acrylic acid, a C1-8 alkyl ester of methacrylic acid, or combination thereof, or a mixture of at least one of said acrylate or methacrylate esters with styrene, (b) 1-10% by wt. of an acrylamide glycolic acid monomer of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R' is alkyl and R'' is hydrogen or alkyl, and (c) 0-20% by wt. of another comonomer.</p> |
