Process for admixing free-flowing additives, such as a liquid crosslinking agent and/or a dye solution, to polyol, in particular before manufacturing articles from PUR foam, and device for implementing the process. The polyol (2) and each free-flowing additive (4) are transferred, in discrete portions and in predetermined relative ratios, from a tank (1) with a capacity of several cubic metres or from one or more supply drums (3) to a mixing device (7), by means of an individual dosing pump (5) for each substance. The mixing device (7) prepares from these portions a limited refill quantity of polyol for the service tank (9) of a device for processing the prepared polyol. The limited refill quantity then passes through a heat exchanger (8) connected downstream of the mixing device (7) and which adjusts the temperature of the limited refill quantity to essentially that - usually higher - of the service tank (9). The tempered, limited refill quantity is then fed continuously from the heat exchanger (8) to the service tank (9) connected downstream whenever the liquid level exceeds a predetermined minimum level. |
