PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized drawing input device which is not affected by the halation or the optical aberration by adding a light emitting part and a light receiving part into a roller and driving the roller on a drawing to input the picture signals after converting them into the digital signals. CONSTITUTION:An input part 1 includes a roller containing a light emitting part 2 and a light receiving part 3 and a digital conversion part 4 which drives the roller on a pattern area of a drawing where a position display sheet 8 is set and converts the signals of a pattern area of the drawing obtained via the part 3 into the digital signals. Then the roller is driven toward an arrow 20 in the same width as the valid light receiving width of the roller. Thus the picture signals of drawings of areas A-D are successively inputted. The input picture signals are converted into the digital signals via the part 4 and stored successively in a memory part 15 via a control part 5. Thus it is possible to obtain a compact drawing input device which can ensure a high contrast with no halation caused around images. |
