<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a fluctuation absorbing buffer in a reception section of a terminal adaptor by transferring a packet up to a reception terminal node without increasing fluctuation even via lots of relay nodes. CONSTITUTION:A packet for synchronous consecutive communication and a packet for asynchronous communication are transferred through a packet exchange network by the packet transfer system. An exchange switch section 12 of a packet exchange 10 of the system is provided with a management table 121 storing a packet sequence number of each synchronous communication, a packet occurrence interval and a packet reception time. Moreover, a packet arrival time of the synchronous communication is observed by an observing means 122 by using a timer and a table 121 and when the arrival interval is larger than a scheduled interval, a priority control means 123 applies priority set to the packet. Moreover, a transmission section of a communication, a non-priority buffer 132 and a buffer 133 for asynchronous communication and the buffer is selected in the order of synchronous priority, synchronous non- priority and asynchronous state and the result is outputted.</p> |
