PURPOSE:To reduce the number of elements constituting the driving circuit so as to simplify the circuit configuration by constituting the 1st drive circuit of the 1st and 2nd switching elements of a push-pull constitution connected in series and a parallel diode circuit in which series circuits of plural diodes are connected in parallel with each other. CONSTITUTION:When control signals for generating maintaining pulses are supplied to control lines of the 1st and 2nd switching elements 4 and 5 of the 1st drive circuit 1, maintaining pulses for maintaining discharge are respectively outputted to the electrodes of the electrode groups of an AC type plasma display panel from maintaining pulse outputting points 01-0n which are connecting points of the plural diodes of each series circuit group 71-7n forming a parallel diode circuit 6. As a result, discharges are successively performed by the maintaining pulses in a discharging cell group from which the discharge is started and the discharges are maintained. Therefore, the number of elements constituting this drive circuit can be reduced and the circuit configuration can be simplified. |
